New Kitchens & Kitchen RenovationsJust Right Bathrooms do not just specialise in the fitting of bathrooms - we also fit kitchens. In many ways the kitchen is very similar to the bathroom in that it incorporates tiled areas, wet areas, electrical and plumbing work. As such we can install your ideal kitchen for you, perhaps at the same time as your new bathroom is being renovated by us. Using the resources of our supply partner, Reece, we are able to install kitchens to suit a range of budgets and tastes. And as always our expert tradesmen will install your new kitchen to the highest standard, and all of our work is guaranteed. Just Right Bathrooms & The Kitchen ScienceAt Just Right Bathrooms, we approach kitchen design, renovations and construction based on expert advice and well studied methods that have been proven to be the most effective and practical for any home. Architects, Interior Designers and Remodelling Esperts all rely on similar methods when creating kitchen layouts and designs. While we have the first hand in liaising with you and determining the best possible design options for your home kitchen, we allocate part of the work and product supply tasks to our partners at Reece and The Kitchen Company. We will ensure that your new kitchen serves the purpose perfectly, but also be that practical useful space in your home as a kitchen should be. Some of the things we consider when we approach your kitchen project:Streamline DesignsWe give design priority to seamless, smooth streamlined elements. Your cupboards will appear as part of your kitchen structure or run flush with a bulkhead to avoid space waste and dust collecting on top of the cupbooards. Benchtops should be streamlined with few visible joins, if any. Sink fitting and positioning should also be inline with the overall look and feel of your kitchen.Appliances IntegrationAppliances can make the difference between an open-plan kitchen and a kitchen that is cluttered and impractical. Just Right Bathrooms take extreme care when it comes to choosing, positioning and installing kitchen appliances. Appliances are, ideally, part of your kitchen structure, they will fit and sit as if they are part of the cupboards containing them. We also look at positioning appliances behind doors for a clean streamlined look with practical and easy access. This is extremely useful when the kitchen is within a close distance to another room where that seamless transition lends itself to a better and more stylish home overall look. The Perfect Splash-backThe splash back is the feature wall of your kitchen. A poorly selected splashback can render a sophisticated kitchen undesireable. The material, quality, colour, finish and texture of your splashback affects, not only the way your kitchen looks, but also practicality and the time spent on cleaning and maintaining your kitchen. For every kitchen design we create, we carefully select select a quality flashback that integrate well with the rest of the kitchen, like cupboards, bench tops and island benches, and be made and finished with durable material that easily cleaned and maintained.Island & Cross BenchesA well designed kitchen is about space management, ease of movement and accessibility and presentation. Chosing between island benches and cross banches should be based on the available space and the overall layout of the kitchen. When creating the kitchen layout, we look at the best possible solution for a bench top taking into account what degree of practicality each choice will provide to our client. We discuss your needs and circumstances so that we can determine the bench style most suited for you. While Island Banches are suited for entertaining and can contain large storage space, cross benches can maintain an outline of your kitchen space and help in 'keeping the mess hidden'.Colours & TexturesA common mistake is that many people opt in for colours based on personal preference without looking at the of their colours on the overall look of the space. While white, light grey and cream shades give a feeling of space and openess, they can be restricting in terms of blending with the surrounding space, not to mention, a white kitchen may require more time and attention to keep clean and tidy. At the same time, darker colours are not always suited for smaller kitchens and make the space cluttered. Textures can address some of these issues. We look at a range of colour and textrue components to best manage your kitchen space. We only recommend and use superior quality in cabinetry and bench tops with a wide range of stone, timber and glass finished materials.Smarter LayoutRegardless of size & budget, every kitchen must be layed out to provide ease of access, concenience and storage. Just Right Bathrooms fullfils the 'Golden Triangle' theory in every design we implement. This basically sperates the 'kitchen work activity zone' (ie, cooking, fridge visit and washing) from the 'kitchen traffic zone' (ie, opening draws and cupboards, accessing subsidiary areas like a phone, radio or tv). The triangle consists of the fridge, cokking area (cook-top and oven) and the sink. Keeping these components within a close distance means that the work zone is managed appropriately where less effort is made to produce meals, access cold storage and washing.Light UpKitchen lighting should be distributed and positioned with care. Again, light is based deployed where light is most needed. We create our kitchen layout before we even consider lighting for it is the layout that will dictate the light loading. Brighter and more potent lighting is needed over work areas such as the bench and stove, while other zones can be best fitted with atmospheric lighting like switch dimmer controlled light.Storage Space ManagementJust Right Bathrooms will often ask the client, Draw or Cupboard..?!, and, while we take our clients' input very seriously, we also extend some helping advice to better inform them about storage space management. For example, cupboard must be deployed for higher storage areas, while the choice between cupboard and draw in lower places is not that simple. Draws are best used to store smaller non-breakable items and are best kept at a reasonable hight levels, while cupboards are best for fragile hand-handled items like plates and glasses. At the same time, cupboards may not be the only solution for corner storage space. It is more difficult to reach into a corner of a cupboard while a draw will bring that corner out to you. Generally, we will discuss all of these options with you to best determine the appropriate kitchen storage space management solution for you so that your kitchen provides you with the convenience you aim at achieving. |
